Starting Pig Specialist will work with farm staff during the nursery stage of production in wean to finish production sites.
Responsibilities & Duties
Train & assist farm staff during the nursery stage of production:
* Preplacement site inspections
* Initial stocking plans
* Sorting & Treating
* Mat & Gruel Feeding
Ability to troubleshoot & adjust heating & ventilation systems.
Assessing health issues and the ability to perform on farm diagnostics.
Requirements
* Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
* Excellent organizational & time management skills.
* Prior swine management experience.
* Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
* Travel – across Iowa with possible overnight stays.
