Berklee College of Music Valencia Campus is seeking applications for part-time music instructors in multiple areas for the undergraduate study abroad program. Possible subjects may include harmony/tonal harmony, ear training, conducting, counterpoint, musicology, and songwriting. This position reports to the Director of Study Abroad and Special Programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
1. Bachelors degree in music or equivalent in an appropriate field
2. Must be able to speak and teach in English fluently
3. Previous teaching experience
4. Active professional within their field
5. Student centered approach to teaching
Preferred:
6. Master's degree in teaching or related field
7. 3-5 years of teaching experience in higher education, particularly with undergraduate students
8. An understanding of US higher education system
9. Instrumental skills that can be applied to the teaching of fundamental music concepts
10. Familiarity with Berklee undergraduate curriculum
