About the Company:
As a Fortune Global 200 company, our client is a global leader in business services. The company supports over 100,000 organisations in 60 countries to deliver innovative solutions and advanced technology. With 34,000 employees, it helps businesses navigate a dynamic global economy, driving success and resilience.
About the Role:
Join a growing, globally distributed DevOps Applications Support team within our client as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE). This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining infrastructure, automating operations, and supporting application reliability in a dynamic Microsoft Azure environment. You’ll collaborate closely with developers, product teams, service integration, and cloud operations to ensure robust production environments and efficient deployment practices.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Ensure the availability and stability of Azure-based infrastructure and services used across the enterprise.
* Lead infrastructure management activities across Azure IaaS and PaaS environments—handling deployment, configuration, scaling, and monitoring.
* Automate infrastructure and operational workflows using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates.
* Collaborate with software development teams to ensure applications are deployed reliably, securely, and with performance in mind.
* Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
* Support incident management and perform root cause analysis for critical production issues.
* Participate in an on-call rotation (one week per month)
* Monitor systems and infrastructure health using logging and observability tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or similar).
* Work closely with a distributed team of engineers in Europe to align DevOps/SRE standards and practices.
Must-Have Technical Skills:
* Strong, hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (IaaS & PaaS), including App Service, Traffic Manager, API Management, etc.
* Proficiency in Azure Kubernetes Service and Docker, including pipeline creation and release management.
* Solid understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles and tools: Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, etc.
* Strong automation skills for operational tasks and environment provisioning.
* Experience with monitoring/logging tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Grafana, or Prometheus.
* Good understanding of networking, DNS, load balancing, and cloud-native design patterns.
* Exposure to incident management in production environments and ability to resolve P1/P2 issues under pressure
* Development background with experience in Java, NodeJS, or other object-oriented programming languages such as Python, C++, or C#.
Certifications (Nice to Have, not Mandatory): AZ-104, AZ-400, AZ-305, CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator). Candidates who don’t currently hold these certifications will be supported (financially and with study time) in obtaining them post-hire.
Soft Skills & Experience:
* Minimum 3-5 years of experience in DevOps/Site Reliability Engineering roles.
* Strong collaboration and communication skills—ability to work with cross-functional teams globally.
* Comfortable working in a hybrid or remote setup and capable of maintaining operational excellence.
The Benefits:
* Relocation assistance: We’re here to help with your move (if applicable)
* Bonus: Yearly bonus of up to 10% of your salary
* 25 days of paid vacation, plus an extra 6 sick days
* Training and courses are fully covered
* Work from modern, comfortable offices, or work from home full-time
