We are creating an embedded accounting proposition that enables organisations serving small businesses to integrate accounting functionality directly into their platforms — creating seamless experiences and real customer value.

As Business Development Lead (Spain), you will play a central role in launching and scaling this new business in the Spanish market.
\n
This is a senior individual contributor role with full ownership of the partnership lifecycle — from market mapping and prospect engagement to solution co-design, commercial negotiation, and successful launch.

What You’ll Do
\n
\n
- Identify, develop, and close strategic partnerships with banks, fintechs, and SaaS platforms serving small businesses in Spain
\n
- Own the full business development lifecycle: origination → discovery → solution shaping → negotiation → signed agreement → launch
\n
- Educate prospective partners on the value of embedded accounting and build compelling commercial cases
\n
- Co-design partnership models that create value for both partners and their SME customers
\n
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of strategic opportunities
\n
- Collaborate with product, technical, and subject matter experts to bring partnerships to life
\n
- Contribute to go-to-market strategy and help refine our value proposition based on market feedback
\n

\nResponsabilidades principales\nExperience you´ll bring:\nMust-Haves\n
\n
- 10+ years of sales or business development experience in complex, technology-based services with long sales cycles
\n
- Experience in a business that serves small businesses or demonstrable interest and knowledge in the accounting or business management needs of small businesses
\n
- Experience introducing new-to-market services (whether ultimately successful or not — we value learning and resilience)
\n
- University degree or relevant professional qualification
\n
- Proven ability and confidence engaging C-suite stakeholders, including CEOs of business banks
\n
- Fluency in business English
\n
\nNice-to-Haves\n\n
- Exposure to the needs of small businesses and accountants, or knowledge of accounting
\n
- Experience working in a bank, SaaS company, fintech, or consulting firm
\n
- Cross-functional experience
\n
- Additional European language skills
