Service Instructor – Sommelier
Summary – Main Tasks & Responsibilities
* Deliver practical and theoretical service‑related classes, educating and guiding students to develop strong skills, values, and professional competencies.
* Support service operations: prepare and set up outlets, follow ordering protocols, manage stock, and ensure HACCP compliance.
* Collaborate with colleagues and maintain effective communication with students and instructors.
* Assist with student evaluation by providing feedback and monitoring progress.
* Contribute to wine‑related operations:
o Recommend wines to guests
o Supervise wine service
o Participate in updating wine lists
o Coordinate with winemakers/suppliers
o Help organize wine tastings
o Ensure proper cellar management
* Maintain innovation and consistency in quality control.
* Adapt to flexible schedules according to operational needs.
Candidate Profile
* Sommelier certification or hospitality degree preferred
* Food‑handling certificate required
* High level of English; Spanish is a plus
* 2‑3 years experience as a sommelier, wine steward or similar hospitality role
* Strong wine knowledge (regions, varieties, local wineries)
* Skilled in teamwork, communication, time management and high‑volume service
