Research Focus
Innovating for Sustainable Transitions: I am interested in hosting a postdoctoral researcher working at the intersection of innovation management and sustainability transitions. The focus is open and flexible, welcoming projects that examine how organisations, industrial ecosystems and policy contexts shape (and are shaped by) societal transitions towards more sustainable and circular economies. Potential topics include circular business models and ecosystems, innovation networks and platforms, industrial symbiosis and resource circulation, and the opportunities and trade-offs of digitalisation (e.g., data-driven coordination, AI, and emerging digital infrastructures) for accelerating transition pathways. The project can be empirical, conceptual, or mixed-method, and may engage with regional or sectoral cases, comparative research designs, or longitudinal perspectives. Candidates should have interests and skills in innovation studies, socio-technical transitions, sustainability/circular economy, and/or organisational and industrial change, aligned with the group’s policy/industry-facing research profile.
Research Team / Group
INNOPRO (UPM): is a research group on innovation, technology policy, and industrial property. Its core research covers innovation management and strategy, technology and innovation policy, digital transformation, and learning analytics/e-learning, with related work on social innovation. The group has experience in national and international (including European) collaborative projects. Postdoctoral candidates benefit from an applied research environment, access to UPM resources and research support, and opportunities to develop interdisciplinary and industry/policy-facing networks through ongoing projects.
