What you will do:
Aistech Space is looking for a DevOps engineer to design, develop and maintain infrastructure and backend services for our data and geospatial solutions.
In this role, you are expected to work as a team functioning in an agile, highly collaborative unit focused on short, client-driven development iterations.
You will directly support our ground/space infrastructure and business operations teams. This includes working directly with the satellite design team, payload design team, user segment team, our partners, and other software developers to build up and continuously improve our infrastructure, and identify opportunities that could improve or generate new business.
You will also be responsible to follow internal standards and good practices in terms of project management, documentation and time management following an agile approach in your daily work.
The key objectives to be achieved during the rotational period are:
Understand Aistech Space mission objectives.
Work closely with the user segment development team.
Engage with internal and external stakeholders to continuously improve the software infrastructure.
Recommend adoption of new technologies, products, and services.
Definition and analysis of backend software and infrastructure requirements and correspondence implementation in code using an Agile methodology.
Write testable code, documentation and presentations.
Keep the best communication between internal teams: space, ground, user and operations infrastructure teams aligned with business development.
Evaluate software engineering approaches and risks.
Actively engage in the development of documentation to build out the company procedures and specification manuals.
Follow your curiosity to suggest new ideas to make our products and processes better.
Who you are:
Must:
BSc/MSc Computer science or equivalent experience.
Interest in space technologies.
Open minded DevOps with proven experience
Knowledge of Cloud native concepts.
Experience in Linux Administration
Experience in IaC (tofu/terraform)
Experience creating and managing CI/CD pipelines
Experience working with containerization and virtualization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with backend development
Experience with scripting languages
Fluent in English.
Nice to have:
Experience with GitOps (ArgoCD)
Experience managing and monitoring GCP/AWS
Experience in Golang/Python
Knowledge of microservices architecture
Knowledge of open geospatial application standards and formats (e.g. OGC's WMS, WMTS, API, etc. as well as STAC, COG, etc.).
