OTIS needs to incorporate in his team a multi-disciplinary
QUALITY TECHNICIAN PPAP & CALIBRATION (H/M)
to work in our factory in
Leganés .
The
Quality Engineer
will be responsible for carrying out PPAP activities for Manufacturing, as well as the internal calibration of manufacturing equipment. This position will provide the opportunity to become familiar with new processes and to work within a multidisciplinary team. The role will report to the Quality & Continuous Improvement Manager.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) Management
Analyze customer requirements, technical specifications, and drawings.
Prepare the complete PPAP documentation package, including design records, process flow diagrams, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, dimensional and test results, ISIR, AAR, PSW, among others.
Conduct validation activities and production trials using standard production tools and processes.
Collect and analyze data to demonstrate process capability and compliance with specifications.
Perform internal reviews to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the PPAP package.
Submit PPAP documentation to the customer according to the required submission level and manage feedback, clarifications, and corrective actions.
Archive and maintain approved PPAP documentation for audits or future engineering changes.
2. Calibration of Plant Equipment
Plan and schedule calibrations based on equipment criticality, usage, and applicable standards.
Execute calibration procedures using certified reference standards.
Record all calibration results, deviations, and applied actions, ensuring full traceability to national and international standards.
Verify equipment performance after calibration to ensure proper operation.
Manage non‑conformities, conduct root cause analyses, and update maintenance or replacement plans.
Analyze calibration data to identify trends, improve procedures, and optimize calibration frequency.
Ensure compliance with standards such as ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17025, and support internal and external audits with accurate documentation.
REQUIREMENTS:
Higher Technician in Laboratory Analysis and Quality Control or similar or Technical Degree or Bachelor’s degree will be valued (Industrial, Mechanical, or similar).
1 year of experience in a similar position.
English C1 (will be assessed).
Familiar with technical documentation.
Ability to work autonomously and to work cross‑functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering teams.
Ability to analyse and interpret technical information.
