Overview
As a Structural Analyst Engineer you will be a member of the Component Structural Analysis group managing advanced technical evaluations and analyses carried out on major nuclear safety class components and piping. You will provide services within structural mechanics (design activities, factory/workshop follow‑up, and support to nuclear power plant modifications or refueling outage) across a wide range of projects, including long‑term operation support, seismic qualification, major component replacement, and plant modifications. You will report to the Manager, Component Structural Analysis and work from the Madrid headquarters in San Sebastián de los Reyes with a hybrid schedule (remote and in‑office). This is a full‑time role.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform engineering evaluations and analyses of technical products and services within the structural mechanics field.
* Perform hand calculations and finite element analysis in ANSYS to verify the qualification of nuclear power plant components to the appropriate standards.
* Document analyses in English.
* Propose integrated solutions to technical challenges that may arise during projects.
* Participate in international project teams and communicate with relevant parties.
* Potential travel to provide engineering support directly to teams performing activities in the nuclear power plants.
* Based on the experience acquired and the performance obtained, progress toward a path of technical expertise, project management, or management.
Qualifications
* Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
* 1+ years of experience in a similar role.
* Knowledge of nuclear industry and mechanical component stress analysis, fatigue, and fracture mechanics assessments, finite element analysis software for structural analysis.
* Experience with ANSYS APDL and Workbench.
* Fluent in English and Spanish.
