Your Mission in Our Team
Join our Rolling Stock HUB in Madrid as a System Engineer for Brake Systems.
In this critical role, you will take ownership of the entire lifecycle of braking systems, from the initial concept phase through to warranty, making a direct impact on passenger safety and operational excellence.
Challenges that Await
- Take full engineering responsibility for brake systems, acting as the technical point of contact for project management, purchasing, customers, and other engineering units.
- Analyze customer and regulatory requirements to develop project-specific brake concepts for the subsystem “brake and air supply.”
- Prepare decision templates for supplier selection, considering cost, technology, and compliance.
- Implement solutions in collaboration with suppliers and internal engineering teams.
- Define test specifications, evaluate results, and prepare approval documentation.
- Oversee technical quality gates for engineering and suppliers throughout the development process.
What Will Make Your Application Stand Out
- A Master’s or Diploma degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics.
- Extensive professional experience with brake systems for rail vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of braking system architecture and functionality, including IBS basics, quality assurance, and product safety.
- Deep understanding of requirements, approval processes, and standards for braking systems in the rail sector.
- Excellent English and Spanish skills for international collaboration.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to partner sites, suppliers, and customers.
