Overview
The Solutions Consultant is responsible for supporting the sale and delivery of customized solution designs for high potential opportunities and strategic client accounts.
Expectations
Engage customers and conduct in-depth discovery sessions that lead to solution-based sales of products and services.
Create business, functional and technical requirements to demonstrate to clients our capability to deliver meeting or exceeding expectations.
Execute on the processes and behaviors that result in sales of these new services.
Digest and absorb training materials to facilitate execution of solution-design sessions.
Responsibilities
Provide pre- and post-sales support to the relevant sales business unit so that the TNS Solution Portfolio can be delivered to new and existing customers.
Role Requirements
Knowledge of TNS product and solution capabilities for payment solutions.
Support sales presentations and meetings with new and existing customers.
Maintain regular contact with TNS customers.
Support responses to RFPs/RFIs.
Knowledge of TNS customer base and the payment market for the relevant country and region.
Advise and recommend products and solutions relevant to a given customer.
Produce technical proposals, cost models and technical requirements for sales opportunities.
Revenue Targets and Generation
Understand and maintain knowledge of sales and revenue targets.
Review sales pipeline to align priorities to maximize revenue.
Identify opportunities to aid revenue and pipeline activities.
Industry Awareness
Maintain market and business awareness of the Payments Industry.
Maintain knowledge of a customer's business objectives within the Payments Industry.
Maintain awareness of payment industry standards, security standards, message and protocol standards and new and alternative payment acceptances.
Deliverable Objectives
Maintain and build relationships with internal delivery and support teams.
Ensure product and services are technically understood and remain updated.
Ensure costing models are produced and maintained.
Ensure technical documents adhere to set standards.
Ensure delivery processors are followed.
Group Objectives
Maintain and build relationships with Solutions Consultants across regions.
Promote and support information sharing within the group.
Provide training and skill knowledge to group members.
Qualifications
3+ years experience in payment acceptance methods: unattended and attended payment acceptance models, wallet and eCommerce technologies, outdoor and indoor payments acceptance, POS acceptance, models and terminals.
3+ years experience in payment type and platform orchestration (authorization, in person and eCommerce, recurring payments, BNPL, alternative payments, platform payment knowledge, terminal driving/ATM processing, intelligent payment routing, fraud, DCC, 3DS, tokenization, reconciliation, file settlement).
Knowledge of transaction message specifications ISO, Nexo, APACs, Prince, XML.
Knowledge of acquiring and issuing payment processing, payment service providers, gateways, scheme gateways.
Knowledge of automated teller machine delivered services, vending/kiosk services, wallet/ApplePay/GooglePay/WeChat and other alternative payment methods.
3+ years data networking experience: IP-based access services, local and wide area networking, Ethernet, VLAN, VPN, SDWAN, vendor hardware Cisco, Fortinet, Teltonika, virtual access products, CCxx, NSE, broadband FTTC/FTTP, wireless 4G/5G, VPN, TLS, Cisco Umbrella, ZTNA.
Knowledge of industry standards and market trends (e.g., PCIDSS, P2PE, DDOS mitigation, Fortigate firewalls, IP addressing, SLA, QoS, cloud services AWS, GCP, Azure, F5, Linux, VMware).
