Role brWe are seeking an Electrical Engineer (PMC) – Building Electrification scope within a steelmaking project. The role focuses on project management, technical assurance, and coordination of electrical systems related to buildings and auxiliary facilities within a large-scale industrial plant. The successful candidate will work closely with EPC/EPCM partners, OEMs, and internal stakeholders to ensure safe, timely, and compliant project delivery. brKey Responsibilities brLead electrical engineering oversight for LV/MV power distribution, substations, switchboards, backup power systems (UPS/generators), lighting, and electrical systems related to buildings and auxiliary facilities within the plant. brFocus on building electrification scope, including offices, auxiliary buildings, and non-process facilities within the industrial site. brReview and approve design documents, single‐line diagrams, load lists, cable schedules, protection philosophies, and vendor data. brEnsure compliance with international standards (IEC, IEEE), project specifications, and steel‐industry requirements. brCoordinate with EPC/EPCM contractors on engineering deliverables, design changes, and technical clarifications. brLead and manage 3 D model coordination across all electrical systems, ensuring alignment between OEM models, EPC/EPCM engineering teams, and civil/mechanical/automation disciplines. brMonitor progress of electrical engineering, procurement, FATs, SATs, and construction activities. brSupport procurement by reviewing technical bids, evaluating vendor proposals, and participating in technical negotiations. brProvide site supervision during installation, testing, commissioning, and energization of electrical equipment. brEnsure strict adherence to HSE requirements, electrical safety rules, and lockout/tagout procedures. brParticipate in risk assessments, constructability reviews, and interface management with mechanical, civil, and automation teams. brPrepare progress reports, and technical recommendations for project leadership. Qualifications brBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred). brExperience in industrial projects (steelmaking, metals, mining, or similar), with exposure to building electrification or non-process facilities. brStrong knowledge of MV/LV systems, protection relays, transformers, motors, VFDs, UPS, earthing, and power quality. brExperience working in PMC, EPC, or EPCM environments. brAbility to interpret engineering drawings, standards, and vendor documentation. brStrong communication and stakeholder‐coordination skills. brProficiency in project management tools and MS Office. Preferred Experience brExperience in building electrical systems within industrial environments (offices, workshops, auxiliary buildings). brPrevious involvement in steelmaking, melt shop, rolling mill, or industrial furnace projects. brExperience with SCADA/DCS interfaces, industrial automation, and instrumentation. brKnowledge of EMC/EMF regulations, and European electrical standards brMultidisciplinary coordination in international project environments.
