Our client is an innovative technology company developing advanced communication and electronic systems for demanding industrial, defence, and mission‑critical applications.
To support the continued development of its RF technology portfolio, the company is looking for an experienced HF/RF Hardware Design Engineer to join a team of highly specialised experts and contribute to the design of next‑generation radio communication systems.
This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with senior RF specialists and progressively acquire critical know‑how within a highly technical environment.
Your Responsibilities
* Design and develop HF and RF hardware systems from concept through industrialisation.
* Develop and optimise transmitter architectures operating primarily within the HF frequency band (1MHz–30MHz).
* Design, simulate, test, and validate:
o RF Power Amplifiers
o RF Filters
o Antenna Matching Networks
o Power Supply Systems
o RF Front‑End Circuits
* Select and evaluate electronic components, including RF power transistor technologies such as GaN, LDMOS, and MOSFET devices.
* Perform circuit simulations using tools such as LTSpice, PSpice, ADS, or equivalent.
* Participate in the design and validation of prototype PCBs and Proof‑of‑Concept developments using tools such as KiCad, Cadence, or equivalent.
* Perform laboratory testing, measurements, tuning, debugging, and performance optimisation of RF hardware.
* Collaborate closely with internal RF experts, hardware engineers, and manufacturing teams.
* Support qualification and certification activities, including EMC, EMI, environmental, and reliability testing.
* Contribute to the transition from prototype to production and support industrial implementation.
Profile
* Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or equivalent.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in RF or HF hardware development.
* Strong experience in analogue and RF circuit design.
* Proven experience designing RF power systems and transmitter architectures.
* Good understanding of RF power transistor technologies including GaN, LDMOS, and MOSFET devices.
* Experience with electronic simulation tools such as LTSpice, PSpice, ADS, Microwave Office, or equivalent.
* Hands‑on experience with laboratory equipment including spectrum analysers, network analysers, oscilloscopes, and RF measurement systems.
* Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
* Comfortable working in multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Nice to Have
* Experience with HF communication systems.
* Experience with EMC/EMI compliance testing.
* Experience with PCB design tools such as KiCad or Cadence.
* Knowledge of reliability engineering methodologies.
* Experience working within defence, aerospace, telecommunications, or high‑tech industrial environments.
