Job Purpose
Support the Customer Business Performance team by conducting in-depth cost analysis and business case development to drive cost efficiencies, revenue opportunities, and customer experience improvements. This role is responsible for providing data-backed insights, identifying cost drivers, and ensuring full financial visibility to support decision-making across the customer area.
Main Accountabilities
Conduct deep dive cost analysis, breaking down expenditures across customer functions to identify key cost drivers, inefficiencies, and savings opportunities.Develop models and business cases that evaluate the cost-benefit of customer-related initiatives, balancing financial sustainability with customer experience objectives.Provide structured justifications for strategic investments and process improvements.Track and analyse cost performance trends, identifying areas where spend is increasing and investigating root causes.Build automated reporting tools to provide visibility on key financial metrics and enable real-time decision-making.Support the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring accurate cost projections and tracking against targets.Support supplier-related financial assessments, ensuring contract terms align with cost control objectives while maintaining service quality.
Main Responsibilities - Tasks
Analyse and interpret cost structures, ensuring a detailed understanding of where and how costs are incurred.Create models that assess the profitability and efficiency of customer initiatives, measuring cost, revenue impact, and NPS improvements.Monitor and report on key financial metrics, highlighting risks, trends, and opportunities for cost optimisation.Prepare structured business cases, consolidating financial analysis, feasibility assessments, and commercial impact.Partner with finance teams to track budgets, forecasts, and spending efficiency.Provide rapid, data-driven insights that allow leadership to make informed decisions in dynamic operational environments.Maintain cost transparency across customer operations, identifying any cost leakage or inefficiencies.Support supplier management teams in evaluating contract performance and financial compliance.
Main Relationships
Manager, Customer Business Performance – To provide financial analysis, cost reports, and insights supporting cost efficiency initiatives.Finance Team – To collaborate on cost forecasting, financial reporting, and budget tracking.Customer Team Stakeholders – To provide financial insights that guide customer-related investments and initiatives.Procurement Team – Support for contract financial modelling and cost-benefit evaluations.
Education
Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. Equivalent experience in financial analysis may be considered.Advanced analytical and financial modelling skills, with strong proficiency in Excel.Familiar with data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI.Knowledge of SQL for querying and structuring financial data.Ability to break down financial data into structured insights, identifying patterns, risks, and efficiency opportunities.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial findings in a clear, structured manner to non-financial stakeholders.
Experience
2+ years of experience in financial analysis, business case modelling, or cost optimisation.Hands-on experience in cost breakdown analysis, profitability assessment, and commercial modelling.Exposure to budgeting, financial forecasting, and corporate financial governance.
Languages
Fluency in English and Spanish.
Other
Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modelling tools.
