Medical Science Liaison (Medical Device) – Barcelona, Spain
Neuraxpharm is looking for a Medical Science Liaison to join the CNS team, focused on epilepsy and neurology. The role provides medical leadership for medical affairs activities related to the company’s solutions and supports cross-functional teams with scientific and clinical expertise.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical and scientific leadership for medical affairs activities related to epilepsy and neurology, ensuring the scientific credibility of the company’s solution.
- Support cross-functional teams (marketing, access and sales) with scientific and clinical expertise, interpreting and providing insights into the positioning of the company’s products.
- Gather customer scientific needs and develop local projects and initiatives to improve understanding and product knowledge.
- Organize and lead medical events, symposia, and scientific meetings.
- Develop relationships with neurologists, epileptologists, and academic institutions.
- Collect and analyze field medical insights to guide strategic decisions.
Medical Education And Clinical Data Communication
- Educate medical professionals about the company’s product and its use.
- Effectively communicate clinical trial data and scientific publications.
- Support KAMs, Sales reps, Access and marketing teams in scientific communication.
KOL/HCP Engagement
- Develop external relationships with KOLs and other experts in the field.
- Engage in scientific discussions and promote collaborations in research projects and clinical trials.
Compliance And Ethics
- Operate in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations (ethical guidelines of interactions with medical professionals).
Cross Functional Collaboration & Strategy
- Collaborate to align MSL activities with overall company objectives.
- Provide medical insights to support the development of medical strategies, product launch plans and marketing materials.
- Contribute training materials and clinical education initiatives.
Qualifications
- 3 years of previous experience as MSL; regional or general experience with new digital product launches is a plus.
- 2+ years working in the Medical Devices industry.
- Medical or scientific degree (Pharmacy, Biology, Medicine).
- Existing network with KOLs.
- Experience in medical affairs or clinical support within the Pharma and Medtech Industry.
- Knowledge of epilepsy and neurology is highly desirable.
- Excellent presentation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to translate complex science into practical insights.
- Experience in supporting other research areas; clinical trials and research collaborations.
- Cross-functional collaboration and compliance with regulations.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
