Job purpose
Reporting to the Business Process Risk Team Lead, you'll assess our organization's preparedness and recommend actions to enhance recovery time after natural disasters or emergencies that could lead to information loss or operational disruptions.
You'll collaborate with internal stakeholders, analyze key risks, establish dialogue between risk and control owners, identify areas for improvement, and craft strategies to strengthen our business continuity management system.
Main Responsibilities
Design and develop comprehensive business continuity and disaster recovery plans tailored to our needs.
Coordinate with departments to integrate continuity plans into every aspect of our operations.
Lead engaging training sessions and exercises so everyone knows what to do when it counts.
Establish clear communication channels and protocols to keep information flowing during disruptions.
Monitor and report on risks, incidents, and plan activations to senior management.
Regularly review and update continuity plans as our organization and the world around us evolve.
Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and industry standards related to continuity and recovery.
Partner with IT to guarantee data backups, system recovery, and cybersecurity measures are in place.
Manage the response to actual disruptions, activate plans, and coordinate recovery efforts.
Required Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Experience implementing a Business Continuity Management System.
Proven ability to solve business challenges and improve processes.
Experience facilitating workshops and interviews to understand business processes, products, and services.
Strong data analysis skills to inform decision-making and drive strategic insights.
A grasp of key functional processes and resources within the organization.
Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Willingness to travel when needed (we keep travel to a sensible minimum and clearly communicate requirements).
Additional Experience
Demonstrated planning and problem-solving abilities.
Experience with process improvement initiatives.
Ability to translate functional requirements into action plans.
Experience organizing and executing risk assessment and compliance projects.
Proficient in MS Office, project management, and at least one GRC tool.
Familiarity with auditing, monitoring, controlling, and process assessment frameworks.
ISO 22301 Lead Implementer certification.
