Overview At Progressive, we are currently looking for a Commissioning Engineer to join the Engineering department of one of the most important and fast-growing national companies in the energy sector.
Responsibilities Mechanical or electrical engineer with at least 5 years of experience in the commissioning of thermal power plants, EFW or similar. Responsible for coordinating the commissioning systems and coordinating the operation of the systems to start-up and shut down this type of plant.
Demonstrates leadership and teamwork skills and the ability to solve problems independently.
Report to the Commissioning Manager; coordinate and collaborate with other disciplines, such as electrical, I&C, operations, mechanical, etc.
Coordinate with the site LOTO responsible Senior Authorized Person for planning and implementation of all permits related activities.
Knowledge of permit to work requests and legal certifications to achieve MEC reports and readiness reports.
Review and monitor subcontracting commissioning activities; review and approve commissioning procedures.
Experience required 3-5 years of experience as a Commissioning Engineer with system responsibility.
Experience in fossil fuel-based plants such as Waste to Energy, Coal, Biodiesel.
If experienced in Combined Cycle Plants, focus on Water Systems and Vendor Operation Protocols (VOP).
