Job Description
As a DCF Sales Engineer at Nokia, you will play a crucial role in driving the technical engagement and positioning of Nokia’s Data Center Fabric (DCF) solution within cloud and enterprise organizations.
You are a seasoned presales engineer with a “can-do” mentality who challenges the status quo and thrives in navigating complex, fast-moving markets. Working closely with the Sales Team, you will leverage your deep technical expertise to lead architectural discussions, define solution strategies, and drive customer-facing engagements that highlight the differentiation and value of Nokia’s solutions.
Your role involves collaborating with customers, providing product demos, and leading technical conversations to facilitate solution adoption. You will serve as the primary interface between customer needs and Nokia’s internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), guiding product evaluations and ensuring successful delivery of solutions.
How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
* Customer Engagement: Lead architectural discussions focusing on Nokia’s datacenter fabric solution, integration, automation, and addressing specific customer needs.
* Technical Expertise: Possess deep knowledge of datacenter network fabric architecture, network automation tools, and trends such as fabrics for AI and EVPN overlay technologies.
* Sales Collaboration: Partner with the Sales Team to effectively position and demonstrate Nokia’s DCF solutions.
* Product Demonstrations: Lead demos showcasing Nokia’s DCF features and industry-leading innovations.
* Opportunity Development: Identify customer opportunities, coordinate technical and sales engagements, and support the creation of commercial offers and project handovers.
* Market Engagement: Represent Nokia at industry events, engage with potential clients, stay updated on market trends, and showcase products publicly.
* Strategy Development: Monitor market evolutions, influence product development, and develop competitive strategies.
Key Skills And Experience
* Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of data center protocols, network automation, BGP, EVPN, MPLS, Peering, SDN, virtualization, Linux, DevOps tools (git, Ansible, Python), cloud-native technologies, Kubernetes, and networking OS (Nokia, Arista, Juniper, Cisco).
* Communication Skills: Fluency in English with strong presentation skills to explain complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.
* People Skills: Ability to build relationships across organizational levels and influence decision-makers.
* Experience: Minimum of 10+ years in IP networking, with extensive experience in selling and positioning datacenter networking equipment and navigating enterprise markets.
* Work Environment: Willingness to travel and adapt to customer needs, with frequent customer-facing interactions.
