Job Summary:
As a Business Development Specialist, reporting to the Business Development Manager (BDM), you will support the research, management, and development of a self-generated SKtes client and partner portfolio, with a strong focus on identifying new business opportunities. You will join a dynamic, target-driven sales team, contributing as a point of contact for existing customers, providing support in day-to-day account management, while actively working to build your pipeline and develop new opportunities. This role requires a proactive approach, including regular presence at customer sites to build strong relationships and gain hands-on experience. You are expected to spend 2 to 3 days per week in customer-facing activities as part of your development in the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the growth of the business by identifying and developing new opportunities within target markets
- Support the identification and development of new and existing clients and partners, contributing to the execution of the business development strategy under the guidance of the BDM.
- Conduct basic research and analysis to help identify business opportunities within assigned clients and partners.
- Assist in the execution of short- and long-term sales plans aligned with overall sales objectives.
- Assist in executing lead generation initiatives to build a pipeline of qualified prospects and support sales growth.
- Conduct outbound outreach (calls, emails, LinkedIn) to engage potential clients.
- Provide day-to-day support to existing accounts, ensuring a high level of service and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records and update activity reports on a regular basis.
- Work towards achieving defined monthly activity and performance targets, with support and coaching from the BDM.
- Provide support in the development of commercial documentation, including client presentations (PowerPoint) and proposals, ensuring high-quality and consistent messaging.
- Collaborate closely with Service Delivery, Solutions, and other internal teams to ensure a positive customer experience and support retention efforts.
Requirements:
- 1–3 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or a related field.
- Interest or initial experience in the IT or Technology sector; exposure to ITAD is a plus but not essential.
- Strong motivation to learn and develop business development skills, with a proactive and positive attitude towards identifying new opportunities.
- Basic understanding of pipeline and account management; familiarity with CRM tools (e.G. Zoho) is an advantage.
- Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to understand client needs and support the preparation of tailored solutions, both verbally and in writing.
- Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
