We are currently seeking a Software Assurance Manager to lead our Software Assurance (RTCA DO-178) activities at our headquarters in Madrid, Spain.

Main responsibilities :
* Ensure compliance with DO-178C in the development and certification of critical software for aerospace systems.
* Define and review Software Certification Plans (PSAC), ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements (EASA, FAA).
* Supervise complete traceability between requirements, design, code, and testing.
* Conduct audits and software reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) to validate compliance with safety and quality standards.
* Evaluate and verify the software development process, identifying deviations and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
* Review and approve software assurance documentation, including Software Verification Plans (SVP) and Software Accomplishment Summaries (SAS).
* Work closely with development and certification teams to ensure deliverables meet quality and safety requirements.
* Support verification and validation (V&V) processes, including structural coverage and test analysis.
* Collaborate with certification authorities (EASA, FAA) and clients in audits and technical reviews.
Required qualifications and experience :
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Aeronautical, Industrial, Electronics, or Telecommunications), Physics, or Mathematics.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in engineering projects.
* At least 1 year of demonstrable experience in DAL A Certification projects.
* Experience with aerospace regulations and certification standards : DO-178C, DO-331.
* Knowledge of embedded software and software life cycles in critical environments.
* Experience with traceability and requirement management tools such as DOORS, Polarion.
* Strong expertise in verification and validation (V&V), including unit testing, integration, and structural coverage.
* Proficiency in automated verification tools like VectorCAST, LDRA, or RTRT.
* Strong programming skills in C, Ada, and Python (for scripting and automation).
* Experience with configuration management tools such as Git.
* Ability to interpret certification standards and generate technical documentation for audits.
* Advanced English proficiency, both technical and for communication with international authorities and clients.
Preferred experience and knowledge :
* Knowledge of FAA AC 20-171, RTCA DO-278A, DO-248, DO-330, DO-332, DO-333.
* Familiarity with safety and reliability standards : ARP 4754A, ARP 4761.
* Experience with EASA CM / SWCEH / 002, CM / SWCEH / 001.
