Our Project Delivery team within our PPD clinical research services manages the technical and operational aspects of projects, collaborating across functions to ensure successful clinical trial completion. This role involves engaging in diverse initiatives or being part of a virtual international project team, gaining cross-cultural experience. Therapeutic areas include infectious and respiratory diseases, oncology/hematology, neurosciences, cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, general medicine, and vaccines.
We are seeking a Senior Director, Project Management in our Oversight Team (Infectious Diseases). This role is for the EMEA region and is remote-based. A thorough understanding of the infectious disease landscape is required, with a preference for candidates holding a PharmD, PhD, or MD.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee operational excellence, develop strategies for high-quality deliverables and financial management.
* Consult on drug development process, strategy, and planning with BioPharma, Biotech, Government, and VC partners.
* Stay informed on infectious disease market trends impacting business growth and operations.
* Maintain strategic client relationships as a senior leadership contact.
* Contribute to business development and drive strategy focusing on innovation and operational efficiency.
* Manage portfolio within a Therapeutic Unit, providing therapeutic expertise in project delivery.
* Lead proposal development and support strategic growth initiatives.
A Day in the Life:
* Serve as a senior or executive contact, managing portfolios within a Therapeutic Unit.
* Drive innovation, financial negotiations, and project prioritization.
* Assist in proposal strategy and bid defense preparations.
* Collaborate on business growth strategies with the Therapeutic Unit Head.
* Support employee development and client needs with therapeutic knowledge.
Keys to Success:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; PharmD, PhD, or MD preferred. Broad understanding of infectious diseases.
Experience: 15+ years relevant experience; 7+ years management responsibility; advanced leadership skills.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Deep understanding of regulatory requirements, medical terminology, statistical concepts; strategic thinking; negotiation skills; risk management; ability to drive corporate strategies.
