PbJob Description: HSE Officer / HSE Supervisor – Solar PV Project /b /ppbRole Overview /b /ppWe are seeking an experienced HSE Officer / HSE Supervisor to support a large-scale solar PV project in Spain. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring health, safety and environmental standards are maintained across site activities, with a strong focus on construction, electrical works, energisation, contractor coordination and daily site safety management. /ppThe role will suit someone with previous experience working on renewable energy, solar PV, electrical infrastructure, construction, industrial or energy projects. /ppbKey Responsibilities /b /pulliMonitor and enforce site health, safety and environmental procedures in line with project requirements and local regulations. /liliCarry out daily site inspections, safety walks and audits across civil, mechanical and electrical work areas. /liliSupport site teams during energisation, commissioning preparation and high-risk electrical activities. /liliReview and monitor RAMS, permits to work, toolbox talks and task-specific risk assessments. /liliEnsure contractors and subcontractors are working safely and in accordance with approved procedures. /liliIdentify unsafe behaviours, hazards and non-compliance, ensuring corrective actions are raised and followed through. /liliSupport incident, accident and near-miss reporting, investigation and close-out. /liliDeliver and support toolbox talks, inductions and safety briefings. /liliMaintain accurate HSE records, reports and site documentation. /liliLiaise with site management, contractors and client representatives on HSE matters. /liliPromote a strong safety culture across the project and encourage proactive hazard reporting. /liliEnsure PPE, site access, welfare, emergency arrangements and environmental controls are properly maintained. /liliSupport compliance with environmental requirements, including waste management, spill prevention and site housekeeping. /li /ulpbRequired Experience /b /pulliPrevious HSE experience on solar PV, renewable energy, electrical, construction, infrastructure or industrial projects. /liliStrong understanding of site-based construction safety and contractor management. /liliExperience working around electrical installation, energisation or commissioning activities would be highly beneficial. /liliConfident carrying out inspections, audits, toolbox talks and site safety briefings. /liliGood knowledge of RAMS, permits to work, incident reporting and risk control measures. /liliAbility to work independently on site and communicate effectively with multinational teams. /liliStrong attention to detail and a proactive approach to safety management. /li /ulpbQualifications /b /pulliRelevant HSE qualification required. /liliSSM / local HSE certification would be highly beneficial. /liliFirst Aid, Fire Safety, Working at Height or other site safety training would be advantageous. /liliValid right to work in the EU preferred. /li /ulpbSkills Competencies /b /pulliStrong communication and reporting skills. /liliHands-on site safety approach. /liliAbility to challenge unsafe behaviour professionally. /liliGood organisational and documentation skills. /liliComfortable working in a fast-paced project environment. /liliFlexible and proactive attitude. /liliEnglish language skills required; Spanish or Romanian language skills would be beneficial but not essential. /li /ulpbProject Details /b /pulliLocation: Spain /liliSector: Solar PV / Renewable Energy /liliContract Type: Freelance / Contract /liliDuration: Project-based contract /liliWorking Pattern: Site-based /liliStart Date: To be confirmed /li /ulpbCandidate Profile /b /ppThe ideal candidate will be a practical, site-focused HSE professional with experience supporting construction or energy projects.
