The Senior Marketing Manager SMB Role Our Small and Medium Business (SMB) segment represents half of Alan’s portfolio. As Senior Marketing Manager – SMB, you will own the complete engagement and retention strategy for thousands of companies from first engagement through renewal.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic planning
– define the end‑to‑end engagement strategy for admins, identify key needs, pain points, and prioritise initiatives both short‑term and long‑term.
Audience intelligence
– maintain continuous customer pulse through interviews and call reviews to inform segmentation and messaging strategies.
Data & analytics
– continuously improve tracking and analytics, set targets and KPIs for engagement, and deliver regular performance reporting and insights on campaign effectiveness.
Cross‑functional collaboration
– influence product roadmap, surface segment‑specific feature requirements, and collaborate with Product, Design, Data, Sales, and regional teams to ensure consistent execution across markets.
Projects
– shape renewal strategy, lead year‑round engagement campaigns, and drive initiatives to globalise email stack and content strategy while exploring new channels such as voice AI and in‑product notifications.
Ideal Candidate
5+ years of experience in lifecycle marketing, email marketing, product marketing, or CRM marketing.
Genuine passion for email as a craft: love segmentation, A/B testing optimisation, and building scalable email systems.
Strategic thinker with strong execution skills: comfortable moving from strategy to hands‑on campaign building.
Data‑driven decision maker: comfortable analysing performance data, building dashboards, and using insights to iterate.
Customer‑centric: regularly talks to customers and uses their voice to inform work.
Entrepreneurial mindset: self‑starter who thrives in a fast‑moving environment and can manage ambiguity.
Strong collaborator: able to influence cross‑functional teams (Product, Design, Data, Sales) and work across geographies.
Full fluency in French and English (written and spoken).
