We´re expanding our team at Alén Space, and are looking for a space system engineer; with passion in what you do, talented and experienced; to join the Electronic Development Area. This area is responsible for the design of electronic devices and products for the space segment, ground segment, and support tools (GSE), with a strong focus on radio systems. He or she will be responsible for the design and verification of new digital electronics products, particularly those focused on communications systems based on SDR and/or onboard computers. Additionally, the candidate will provide technical analyses to evaluate the performance of communication systems and develop new concepts and architectures.
What you will be doing?
1. Requirements analysis
2. Performing trade-offs and studies necessary to provide the best solution to the proposed problem
3. Electronic design based on microcontrollers, FPGAs, or SoCs
4. Electronic design of Power Distribution Networks (PDN) based on a power budget
5. Electronic design of communication interfaces including drivers: CAN, UART, I²C, SPI, LVDS, etc.
6. Electronic design with radio transceivers (ADC/DAC converters)
7. PCB design: translating schematic designs into a manufacturable layout (PCBA)
8. Design of support elements for testing (EGSEs), including cable harness definition
9. Collaboration with the mechanical team for the development of shielding or metallic enclosures for the device
10. Development and description of verification and test plans
11. Functional and electrical verification of developed devices
12. Electrical and interface testing in the laboratory
