Job Purpose
This is a temporary position for 2 months. The role involves analyzing and mitigating crew fatigue within the company's operations, using data analysis and biomathematical models, in accordance with safety protocols and regulations, to ensure operational safety and efficiency.
Main Accountabilities
* Identify and quantify fatigue risk levels to enable proactive adjustments to crew schedules.
* Assess causes of reported fatigue and recommend appropriate actions.
* Implement schedule changes to reduce fatigue without compromising operational requirements.
* Ensure crew members have sufficient rest, enhancing safety and performance.
* Accurately enter, classify, and analyze fatigue-related reports timely.
* Keep fatigue risk assessment tools up-to-date and aligned with industry standards.
* Determine root causes of fatigue and ensure appropriate follow-up.
* Provide management with insights into fatigue trends and strategic recommendations.
* Identify demographics or locations with high fatigue levels and develop targeted interventions.
* Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations regarding fatigue management.
* Promote staff understanding and handling of fatigue issues for a safer environment.
* Use advanced monitoring technologies to gain insights into crew fatigue and incorporate findings into scheduling.
* Fulfill all responsibilities inherent to the role.
Main Responsibilities - Tasks
* Analyze crew schedules using biomathematical models.
* Review fatigue reports, assess causes, and recommend actions.
* Collaborate with programming to modify schedules.
* Manage a team of human factors officers.
* Interact with software providers for improvements.
* Investigate extreme fatigue cases thoroughly.
* Generate and present monthly fatigue reports.
* Monitor fatigue trends by base, age, and rank.
* Ensure compliance with audits.
* Conduct training on fatigue management.
* Manage biometric data collection projects.
* Perform other related responsibilities.
Main Relationships
* Programming, IT, Safety, Operations, HR departments.
* Biomathematical model providers, aviation authorities, academic institutions, industry groups.
Education
* Degree in Engineering (Aeronautical, Industrial, or related).
* Understanding of fatigue risk management and data interpretation.
* Proficiency in data analysis software.
* Knowledge of aviation operations and crew scheduling.
Experience
* Minimum 2 years in aviation or related fields, focused on safety, data analysis, or operations.
Competencies
* Analytical thinking, effective communication, empathy, attention to detail.
