🔎 What are we looking for?
📄 We are looking for a Senior Java Engineer specializing in Microservices and AWS to join a project for a global leader in credit cards, auto loans, banking, and savings accounts. This 100% remote position is open to candidates located in Spain, requiring fluent English for effective collaboration with international teams.
📋 Main tasks and accountabilities will be:
* Design, develop, and sustain efficient, reusable, and high-quality software.
* Embrace the DevOps mindset: "you build it, you own it, you run it", ensuring reliable and seamless software maintenance.
* Optimize application performance, quality, and responsiveness.
* Collaborate effectively, both independently and within a team environment.
* Engage in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including occasional QA and peer code reviews.
* Align with the objectives and vision set by Product Management.
* Drive innovation within your team, area of expertise, and broader technical domain.
💡 What do we expect from you?
* Very strong Java programming skills and knowledge of building API’s
* Deep understanding of all stages in the Software Development Life Cycle
* Deep understanding of design patterns and principles (e.g. SOLID principles)
* Experience with different testing types: Unit Testing, API Testing, Acceptance Testing, Load Testing
* Experience with distributed architectures like SOA or MSA
* Experience with event-driven architectures
* Experience with REST APIs
* Relevant experience with AWS services
* Experience with Gradle or Maven
* Experience with Enterprise Jenkins
* Experience working in an Agile fashion (e.g. Scrum, SAFe)
* English B2+/C1
