Traffic Manager
As Traffic Manager, you will be the key operational link between our integral trading team and logistics, managing container and truck logistics end-to-end, ensuring seamless execution of transactions, and delivering outstanding service to internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute transactions in adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.
- Manage container and truck logistics end-to-end, from booking through final delivery.
- Execute contracts including documentary instructions as per sales contracts and letters of credit.
- Manage all documentary presentations; negotiate service contracts with surveyors and update data into the contract/execution management system.
- Check letters of credit and payment terms; request amendments to ensure validity as per sales contract terms.
- Forward instructions to related parties, appoint surveyors, follow up on cargo and services documents, and provide final approval for issuance.
- Obtain quotes for container and truck freight rates; negotiate rates with carriers and freight forwarders in coordination with other WeGrow offices.
- Arrange container and truck bookings with carriers and freight forwarders.
- Supervise loading and discharging of WeGrow's cargoes.
- Arrange inspection services and manage third-party logistics providers.
- Handle, resolve, and conclude all logistics-related claims.
- Reply to overseas inquiries in a clear, concise, and timely manner.
- Ensure each transaction file is complete and properly documented.
- Serve as the primary contact for clients regarding logistics matters; external contacts include container carriers, freight agents, banks, inspection companies, and third-party commodity suppliers and receivers.
- Provide excellent customer service internally and externally.
Requirements
- Several years related experience in container shipping and truck logistics.
- Strong familiarity with international transport documentation and Letters of Credit.
- Experience in the fertilizer or agricultural inputs industry is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, and Internet tools.
- Exceptional organizational skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
- Self-starter, reliable, and accountable, a true 'go-to' person.
- Strong team player, dedicated, and flexible.
- English fluency (B2 or above written & spoken), Spanish fluency (written & spoken).
