Delivery Consultant - Security, Global ProServe Security

The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a hands‑on, security‑focused Delivery Consultant to design, build, and implement security solutions in real customer environments. You will write infrastructure as code, engineer detective and preventive controls, and architect security into workloads from the ground up. The emphasis is on engineering automated, repeatable security controls that scale across complex environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver security outcomes within customer engagements—design and implement automated security controls, architectures, and patterns using AWS security services and infrastructure as code.
* Solve security challenges independently across identity and access management, network security, data protection, and detection and response domains.
* Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to define and implement solutions and identify opportunities for additional value.
* Manage and elevate risks by proactively identifying security and delivery risks and driving resolution.
* Develop depth as a security domain expert while maintaining broad knowledge of AWS security services.
* Contribute to the broader security practice by creating reusable content, reference architectures, and supporting knowledge sharing.
Basic Qualifications
* Experience as a technical specialist in design and architecture.
* Experience architecting, securing, and operating Amazon Web Services.
* Experience with automation or scripting languages such as Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby, Bash, Shell, or equivalent.
* Experience in one or more domains: access‑control systems, network security, application/system‑development security, security architecture and models, cryptography, and operations security.
* Experience writing infrastructure as code (CloudFormation, CDK, or Terraform) to deploy and manage cloud resources.
* Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve technical security challenges in distributed cloud environments.
* UK citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain UK Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in IT consulting/management with IT Transformation in a customer‑facing role.
* Experience implementing multi‑account security architectures using AWS Organizations, SCPs, and AWS Control Tower.
* Experience building automated detection or remediation workflows (e.g., EventBridge, Lambda, Security Hub custom actions).
* Experience securing workloads in regulated or government environments.
* Familiarity with container or serverless security (ECS, EKS, Lambda).
* AWS Security Specialty or AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification.
