IG Networks is a rapidly growing global telecommunications company with a worldwide presence across the Americas, Africa, Europe, and Asia. We're seeking an Account Manager with a strong business development mindset to drive growth with European wholesale carriers by selling our global data connectivity portfolio.
The Opportunity
This is a dynamic account management role focused on developing new wholesale carrier relationships and expanding existing accounts across European markets. You'll be selling IG Networks' comprehensive global data services - including Ethernet, MPLS, DIA (Dedicated Internet Access), and BIA (Broadband Internet Access) - to European carriers seeking worldwide connectivity solutions. Your mission is to position IG Networks as the strategic partner that opens doors to new data revenue streams across multiple continents.
Key Responsibilities
Account Development & Growth
Develop new wholesale carrier relationships across European markets
Sell our global data services portfolio including Ethernet, MPLS, DIA, and BIA solutions
Expand existing carrier accounts by identifying new opportunities and service requirements
Drive the complete sales cycle from prospecting to contract closure
Manage and grow revenue from assigned carrier relationships
Market Development
Identify new business opportunities within the European wholesale ecosystem
Attend industry events to network and generate qualified leads
Develop market intelligence on European carrier expansion plans and needs
Create compelling value propositions showcasing our global reach and capabilities
Relationship Management
Build relationships at all levels - from technical teams to senior management at target carriers
Develop internal champions who can advocate for IG Networks' services
Act as primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction
Collaborate with internal teams (Network, Product, Technical) to craft winning solutions
Monitor account health and proactively address issues to maintain strong partnerships
Coordinate with global teams to leverage our worldwide presence in sales and service delivery
What We’re Looking For
5+ years in wholesale telecommunications sales with proven revenue track record
Direct experience selling to European carriers (wholesale/carrier-to-carrier only - NOT enterprise or retail)
Strong hunter DNA - you thrive on prospecting and opening new accounts
Understanding of global wholesale markets and how carriers interconnect worldwide
Experience with complex B2B sales cycles (6-18 months typical)
Skills & Attributes
Existing relationships within European carrier community strongly preferred
Fluent English with additional European languages advantageous
Technical aptitude to understand and articulate wholesale telecom solutions
Self-motivated and comfortable working remotely with global teams
Travel-ready for face-to-face meetings and industry events across Europe
Industry experience: Must have 3–5 years of experience in the telecommunications sector within the wholesale carrier business.
