As an Area Manager, you'll ensure your site runs smoothly to meet customer demand. You will lead a team that maintains safety, efficiency, and high quality, and manage projects across our network to drive productivity.

A day in the life
You will work on a shift pattern at one of our sites, focusing on maximizing productivity. Your main role will be to foster a safety culture and uphold quality and performance standards. You will oversee process improvements and lead their implementation. Your day will include team management, operational duties, process improvements, and contingency tasks. You will also mentor new managers.
About the team
Amazon Logistics (AMZL) handles last-mile delivery in partnership with third-party providers. We innovate continuously to deliver millions of products efficiently and sustainably, focusing on customer experience and exploring new delivery concepts like Amazon Fresh, Prime Now, and Amazon Restaurants.
Our operations include processing millions of products for dispatch and supporting delivery via Amazon Flex, a network of contractors. We aim to reduce our carbon footprint with electric vehicles and advanced technology.
Qualifications
* Experience communicating with diverse stakeholders, including peers and leadership
* Ability to use data and anecdotal evidence to influence decisions
* Proficiency in English and local language
* Experience with Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen techniques (preferred)
* Experience in logistics environments (preferred)
* Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
