SAP Controlling Functional Expert - Contract - Remote
Location: Europe
Duration: 6 months + Extension
The role supports and evolves the controlling application landscape. This role works closely with global business stakeholders, Digital teams, and support functions to ensure stable operations, optimize processes, and deliver business value initiatives.
Responsibilities
* Support ERP transformation projects by identifying risks, validating designs, defining test cases, and assisting through SIT, UAT, cutover, go-live, and hypercare phases.
* Lead or support end-to-end deployment of Business Value Projects, from business case to KPI monitoring.
* Ensure integration with enterprise systems and adherence to project lifecycle standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* 10+ years of ERP delivery experience in a business-oriented context, ideally within a global FMCG environment.
* Expertise in SAP controlling modules, including:
o Material Ledger (ML)
o Product Costing (CO-PC)
o Profitability Analysis (CO-PA)
o Cost Center (CO-OM) and Profit Center Accounting
o Budgeting and cost planning
o Actual cost allocation cycles (assessments & distributions)
o Manufacturing cost flow (production variances, settlement, overheads)
o Period-end closing process
* Knowledge of finance performance tools (e.g., TM1) and consolidation solutions (e.g., SAP FC) is a plus.
* Strong end-to-end process understanding within Controlling.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with integration platforms (SAP CPI, APIs, middleware).
* Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence).
* Hands-on experience with incident, problem, and change management.
* Exposure to data governance, master data concepts, and reporting tools.
