Senior Wind Business Development Engineer

Our current portfolio includes 40 renewable energy assets with a capacity of 2,048 MW, 343 MW of efficient natural gas-fired power, 1,229 miles of electric transmission lines, and other sustainable assets.
We are currently recruiting a Senior Wind Business Development Engineer to work with and strengthen our Business Development team based in Seville's office.
Responsibilities:
* Locate renewable energy projects (especially wind) through land searching, sometimes with the support of external brokers.
* Conduct conceptual technical design of wind plants to estimate their feasibility.
* Analyze opportunities related to own or third-party projects under development through basic financial models.
* Monitor activities carried out by development companies contracted by Atlantica.
* Negotiate and close agreements with third parties, including development services, investment/partnership agreements, memoranda of understanding, land agreements, etc.
Education:
* Bachelor's degree or higher in any Engineering or related field.
* Desirable master's or postgraduate studies in Energy subjects.
* Excellent English language skills (written and speaking), C1 level required.

* Experience in negotiating and closing different collaboration agreements: development service agreements, partner/investment agreements, agreements with engineering or EPC contractors, etc.
* Knowledge of electricity sector regulation and permitting processes for power generation plants (especially wind) as well as standalone battery storage systems.
* Basic knowledge of green hydrogen and biogas regulation.
* Moderate knowledge of PV, but especially Wind technical design, being able to estimate economical key inputs in the financial model (capex, opex, etc.).
* Moderate/high knowledge of finance and project profitability analysis.
Technical Qualifications:
* At least 3-5 years of experience as a Business Developer for Renewable Energy or similar.
* Autocad, production forecast computer tools (especially for wind, like WindPro, Openwind, Global Wind Atlas, MIERRA2, ERA5, etc.).
* Experience in the power generation sector.
