Laboratory Technician – Process Innovation & Catalysis
Are you ready to play a key role at IFF? We are looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our Quality team in Alcantarilla, Murcia.
You will be responsible for executing trials, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring the smooth operation of quality activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Experimental Execution & Analysis
* Prepare and execute laboratory trials.
* Operate sampling, analysis, and data manipulation equipment (GC, GC-MS, HPLC).
* Ensure accurate reporting of experimental results.
* Laboratory Operations & Maintenance
* Support organization and housekeeping activities in the lab.
* Manage preventive maintenance for analytical equipment.
* Monitor and replenish reactive and consumable supplies when needed.
* Coordinate sample shipments to external facilities.
* Cross-functional Collaboration
* Ensure effective communication with pilot and industrial plant operators.
* Support process optimization initiatives within the technical team.
Qualifications & Experience
* Education: Higher Technician Degree (FP Grado Superior) in Analysis and Control, Chemistry, or equivalent.
* Experience: At least 6 months of laboratory experience in reactor operation and gas chromatography analysis.
* Technical Skills:
* Strong proficiency in gas chromatography (GC, GC-MS), HPLC.
* Knowledge of lab equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
* Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
* Soft Skills:
* Strong teamwork and interpersonal capabilities.
* Resilient and result-oriented mindset.
* Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and adaptability.
* Languages: English proficiency preferred.
