Role Overview brYou will support the development, certification, and verification of aircraft systems for electric aviation platforms (e VTOL, electric propulsion, cabin systems). The role sits at the intersection of systems engineering, safety, certification, and V V, with hands‐on involvement across requirements definition, modeling, testing, and compliance demonstration at Component, System, and Aircraft levels. brResponsibilities brSystems Engineering Requirements brDevelop, manage, and validate aircraft‐, system‐, and component‐level requirements. brGenerate and maintain requirements aligned with customer, regulatory, and certification needs. brEnsure bidirectional traceability between requirements, verification methods, and compliance evidence. brManage requirements in ALM environments (Polarion). brProvide design feedback related to safety, requirements completeness, and verification readiness. Safety Certification brApply SAE ARP4754 A and ARP4761 processes throughout the system lifecycle. brSupport Functional Hazard Assessments (FHA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), and FMEA. brParticipate in certification planning and compliance demonstrations. brInterface with certification engineers and DERs to support FAA approval activities. brSupport certification programs under Part 23 / 27 / 33, including electric propulsion systems. Verification Validation brAuthor, execute, and maintain verification plans, procedures, and test reports. brDefine and execute requirements‐based test strategies at Component, System, and Aircraft levels. brCoordinate and execute lab, integration, and system‐level tests. brVerify systems including: vibrations, airframe, fuselage, interiors, doors, transparencies, ECS, interior lighting, smoke detection, and more. brEnsure verification activities align with certification schedules. brTrack and report verification status with full traceability. Modeling, Analysis Test Support brPerform system behavior modeling for validation. brSupport test automation and data analysis. brEnsure verification deliverables meet certification expectations. Minimum Qualifications brBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Software Engineering, or related field. br10+ years of experience on Part 23 or 27 aircraft or rotorcraft programs. brStrong knowledge of: brSAE ARP4754 A brSAE ARP4761 brFAA Order 8110.4 C brRTCA DO‐160 G, DO‐331, DO‐178 C brExperience with ARP4754 A‐based verification. brExperience with requirements‐based testing and traceability audits. brProficiency with ALM tools (Polarion, JIRA, Confluence). brExperience with modeling tools (Onshape, Solid Works, CATIA, etc.). brComfortable working in certification‐focused environments. Preferred Qualifications brExperience with Part 23 Amendment 64, ASTM F3338, Part 33 certification, or electric propulsion systems. brFamiliarity with: brPolarion ALM brCATIA brANSYS brMil‐HDBK‐217 / Mil‐HDBK‐21 brReliability tools (PTC Windchill, Isograph, Relyence) brTest automation experience with Lab VIEW, Python, and automation frameworks. brBackground in aerospace verification validation. brExperience in certifying environments (Part 23, 25, 27, 29 or DO‐based programs under EASA/FAA).
