- Overview of Role 
- Rothschild & Co is looking for an Analyst and Associate to join the Global Advisory team in Madrid starting as soon as possible. 
- As part of the Global Advisory team in Madrid, Analysts and Associates will have broad exposure to a wide range of: 
- Products including M&A; and Financing (Debt Advisory and Restructuring and Equity Capital Markets) 
- Industries as part of the Generalist team: Consumer, Retail and Leisure; Energy & Power; Healthcare; Industrials; Infrastructure; Real Estate; TMT, etc. (all sectors excluding FIG) 
- Given the global nature of our firm and broad reach of our Global Advisory practice, this role will involve working collaboratively with colleagues in the Spanish team and other colleagues globally on international / cross-border projects. 
- Responsibilities 
- Execute live deals which may include M&A;, Debt Advisory and Restructuring and Equity Advisory, both in Spain and cross border 
- Ability to work in a demanding environment while multi-tasking time-sensitive projects 
- Oversee and / or work in financial modelling, valuation, comparable and relative value analyses and market-specific analysis, including integrated financial models and relevant valuation outputs/sensitivities 
- Conduct extensive quantitative and qualitative economic, industry and company research and analysis 
- Draft client pitches and marketing materials including acquisitions, disposals, mergers, refinancing and equity capital market alternatives, as well as associated internal documentation through coordination with internal and external resources 
- Coordinate the transaction process internally and by liaising with clients, their counterparties and other advisers. Managing analysts and overseeing various work streams 
- Attend client meetings and develop relationship skills through client contact and exposure to senior bankers 
- Adhere to all compliance regulations and confidentiality policies 
- Contribute to Rothschild & Co’s unique firm culture, and recruiting, training and development efforts 
- Education and Qualifications 
- Bachelor’s Degree from a leading academic institution 
- Experience, Skills and Competencies Required 
- Prior relevant experience within a top tier investment bank / advisory firm required 
- Exceptional analytical, quantitative and communication skills 
- Experience analysing financial statements and related data to assess historical financial performance and outlook for client companies and prospects 
- Financial modelling skills required 
- Well organized, detailed, and ability to work within tight time frames 
- Ability to simultaneously manage several projects in an extremely fast paced environment in order to meet critical deadlines 
- Team player, capable of working in cross-border deal teams 
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) 
- Spanish as first language or very advanced Spanish skills. English excellent professional fluency
