Join TotalEnergies Renewables Iberia in MadridTotalEnergies Renewables Iberia develops, builds, and operates solar projects across the Iberian region, either as sole owner or in partnership through joint ventures.The position involves close coordination with central operational functions in Spain, including project management, engineering, procurement, legal, finance, and business development teams.
Reporting to the ESS Manager, the primary objective of the role is to support the compliance of TotalEnergies Renewables Iberia's renewable projects in Spain with both local regulations and internal HSE, environmental, sustainability, and social standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesDuring the Development and Pre‐Construction Phases
Support the HSE team to ensure projects meet TotalEnergies' requirements in terms of environmental protection, sustainability, and social responsibility
Review documentation to ensure contractors' compliance with applicable environmental, sustainability, and social regulations, as well as TotalEnergies standards
During the Construction Phase
Support project teams in ensuring full compliance with environmental, sustainability, and social requirements, both internally and among contractors
Conduct site visits as required (approximately once per quarter)
Review monitoring reports (weekly and monthly) and other documentation produced by third‐party entities
Prepare monthly environmental, sustainability, and social reports for each project
During the Operations Phase
Conduct site visits as required (approximately four times per year)
Review follow‐up reports and all relevant documentation provided by external parties
Prepare monthly environmental, sustainability, and social reports for each operating project
Central Services and Corporate Support
Contribute to the integration of environmental and social standards across the company
Support the collection and consolidation of data on actions and procedures to demonstrate compliance with national, European, and international frameworks, including green financing requirements and the European Green Taxonomy
Contribute to the development and implementation of a sustainability roadmap and support the achievement of internal key performance indicators (KPIs) related to environmental and social performance
Candidate ProfileQualifications
Master or Engineering degree in Environmental or Sustainability
Prior experience in the renewable energy sector is a strong advantage
Technical Skills
Solid knowledge of sustainability frameworks, environmental standards, and regulations
Digital & IT Skills
Proficient in common computer tools and Microsoft Office, with strong expertise in Excel
Knowledge of QGIS
Knowledge of Power BI would be considered a plus
Languages
English: Upper-intermediate to advanced level (B2/C1)
Spanish: Upper-intermediate to advanced level (B2/C1)
