Job Description
As part of the EMEA Project Engineering team, you will be involved in designing customer projects. This includes controlling and automating Tomra equipment, machine peripherals, and bespoke project items. Working with Sales, Project Management, and Service teams, you will be engaged from concept design through to commissioning.
Role and Responsibilities:
* Scope projects and estimate costs for bespoke solutions during the quotation stage.
* Evaluate customer specifications and ensure compliance with Tomra standards.
* Develop project-specific PLC, HMI, and SCADA controls.
* Create electrical schematics tailored to projects.
* Develop project-specific FDSs.
* Visit customer sites for commissioning, evaluating product performance, and assessing site-specific issues.
* Support Sales, Service, and Operations as needed.
Qualifications
What You Need to Succeed:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering.
* Proficiency in PLC programming, with essential knowledge of:
o Rockwell’s RS Studio, FTME, FTSE
o Siemens TIA Portal, Simatic Manager, WinCC
* Excellent understanding of motor control, especially using Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
* Knowledge of electrical cabinet design, component selection, and specification.
* Excellent proficiency in English.
* Knowledge of EPLAN is a plus.
* CMSE or equivalent certification is a plus.
* 5+ years of industry experience in a design-related role. Experience in the food industry or similar is beneficial but not essential.
* Ability to travel.
* Ability to work both as part of a team and remotely with limited supervision.
