As part of the Global Legal Team, the successful candidate will interface and coordinate legal functions, providing support in Spain and other countries where Systra Ibérica operates, on matters including:
Providing legal advice and analysis on contractual issues for project procurement activities.Drafting and advising on a wide range of contracts and agreements related to SYSTRA Ibérica’s projects worldwide.Supporting contract negotiations.Acting as a key contact for internal and external parties involved in negotiations and contract performance.Engaging with internal clients, operational teams, clients, consortium partners, subcontractors, and their legal advisors, as well as senior management.Understanding active projects and upcoming tenders.Providing legal advice on risks and mitigation strategies.Training management to ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory policies.Liaising with insurance brokers and external legal counsel.Drafting legal notices and managing dispute cases.Managing local corporate processes, including governance and compliance, in coordination with Systra’s Head of Corporate Matters.Participating in the Systra Group legal network.Admitted as a solicitor in Spain is advantageous. A Law Degree (LLM or PhD) is required.Language Skills
Fluent in Spanish (written and spoken).Fluent in English (written and spoken).French and Portuguese are optional but appreciated.Mandatory knowledge of Spanish public procurement rules, engineering, and D&B/construction contracts.Proven experience in negotiating and drafting contracts and transaction documents.Minimum of 5 years' experience, ideally with prior in-house experience following law firm work.Experience in construction, transport, engineering sectors, or related fields such as oil, gas, energy, or water sectors.What We Offer
