Logistics Specialist, Data Center Operations Job ID: | Amazon Data Services, Inc. Amazon is seeking a logistics professional for our Amazon Web Services Team in the Aurora, CO area. Logistics Specialists will perform operations across three key areas: Warehousing, Transportation, and Data Centers. This role involves monitoring inventory levels and conducting cycle counts to ensure adequate stock is available for build and repair activities. Process inbound and outbound shipments, manage Inventory Management Systems, and oversee chain‑of‑custody processes for our customers. A Logistics Specialist will operate both independently and within team settings. Additionally, the role includes transporting parts between locations using sprinter vans, trucks, or various powered equipment such as forklifts or electric pallet jacks. They must hold a valid state‑appropriate driver’s license, be able to obtain their Driver Qualification File (DQF) and/or a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), obtain and maintain a DOT Med Card, and be eligible to drive in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements. Preferred candidates will have experience in a warehouse or distribution environment, and experience and knowledge of reverse logistics processes. Receive parts, maintain inventory, and check out parts as needed to Data Center Technicians and Engineers Load and unload shipments and transport parts, racks, and equipment between different locations, including localized driving of a variety of transportation vehicles Attend company‑provided forklift operator training Complete company‑provided training in driving box trucks up to 26’ in length Occasionally work in an office environment AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure.
