We’re Hiring: Creative Designer & AI Visual Specialist (Freelance / Remote, Barcelona Preferred)Rooted Social is a general digital marketing agency working across paid media, websites, CRM systems, and organic strategy.We partner with high-end brands across travel, real estate, e-commerce, finance, and hospitality — including Coca-Cola, Tatler Magazine, and leading luxury hotel groups across Africa.We are one of the fastest-growing agencies in our space, with a young, high-performance team across London, Barcelona, Cape Town, Milan, and Kenya.We’re now looking for a highly creative, execution-focusedDesigner & AI Visual Specialistto support across all visual output — from social content to campaigns, ads, and brand assets.This is a freelance role with consistent work and long-term potential.RoleThis is not a traditional design role.You will be responsible for producinghigh-performance visual content at speed— across multiple formats, industries, and platforms — combining design, video, and AI tools.What you’ll be responsible for- Designing high-end visuals across social, ads, and campaigns- Editing short-form video (Reels, TikTok, paid ads)- Creating and refining UGC-style content for performance- Producing content across luxury real estate, travel, hospitality, and e-commerce- Developing promotional graphics, carousels, and branded assets- Supporting paid media teams with creative output- Exploring and integrating AI tools into design workflows- Staying ahead of trends in content, formats, and visual stylesWhat we’re looking for- Strong portfolio across design + video (essential)- Proven experience creating social-first content- Advanced video editing skills (short-form, ads, UGC)- Strong understanding of visual storytelling and performance content- Experience with tools such as Adobe Suite, Figma, CapCut, After Effects, etc.- Active use of AI tools (e.G. Midjourney, Runway, ChatGPT, etc.)- Ability to work fast, iterate quickly, and handle multiple brands- Strong taste level — especially within luxury and premium markets- Highly organised and reliable as a freelancerBonus- Experience in luxury, travel, real estate, or hospitality- Understanding of paid media creative performance- Motion design / animation skillsDetails- Freelance (hourly / project-based)- Remote role- Ideally based in Barcelona- High-performance, fast-moving team- Opportunity for long-term collaborationIf you’re someone who lives and breathes content, design, and AI — and can execute at speed — we want to hear from you.
