For our Food & Healthcare Technologies division, we are seeking a Field Service Engineer. This division provides solutions for food processing, including preparation, marinating, and further processing of meat, poultry, seafood, vegan products, as well as processing lines for pasta, baked goods, snacks, breakfast cereals, confectionery, and pet food. GEA also supplies spiral and tunnel freezers and equipment for slicing and packaging food.
The office is located in Granollers / Barcelona, but the work will primarily be carried out in Northern Spain, ideally in Galicia.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
1. Travel across Spain and Portugal (5 days a week) as a Field Service Engineer.
2. Assist with breakdowns, preventive maintenance, and inspections.
3. Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery.
4. Maintain knowledge of a wide range of machinery including packaging, slicing, processing, and grinding equipment.
5. Collaborate as part of the FSE team.
6. Receive training on specific machinery and service environments.
Your Profile / Qualifications:
* FP2 degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Automation.
* Experience working with customers, with empathetic communication skills.
* Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
* Experience with capital investment equipment.
* Ability to work independently and plan time effectively.
* Excellent customer-facing and interpersonal skills.
* Flexibility regarding travel and working hours to ensure job completion.
* Fluent in English (spoken and written), with the ability to discuss technical topics confidently.
