ABC Maritime AG is seeking an experienced Offshore Technical Superintendent with both sea and shore experience. This is a fully remote full-time position, allowing you to work from anywhere (within reasonable time zone). You will collaborate with a distributed team and, when necessary, travel to our headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.
This position requires a highly motivated positive personality with experienced troubleshooting and good communication skills, ensuring that operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with international and company procedures. You will oversee vessel operations, maintenance, repairs, and budgets, manage the vessel's staff and contractors, and participate in internal and external audits.
Your Mission & responsibilities:
Oversee vessel technical matters, follow up of the maintenance compliance, preparation of repairs and drydocking specifications and monitoring of all repairs afloat and in drydock of a fleet of Offshore Support Vessels and Accommodation Barges;
Ship inspections;
Ensure proper coordination between Departments (Operation / SQ / Procurement / Crew) and Administration;
Dry docking experience;
Budget responsibility;
Conduct periodic vessel safety and operational readiness inspections focusing on compliance with ISM and SMS. Implementation of ISM and quality assurance.
Perform incident investigations, compliance audit and incident and accident reporting where required.
Ensure vessel workplace safety by implementing, maintaining, and monitoring the Safety Management System;
Regular onboard visits, communications, and other safety protocols.
Your Profile:
Served service as seagoing Chief Engineer for minimum 1-year effective sailing time on board Offshore vessels, units;
Shore Experience as Technical Superintendent, minimum 1- year, in charge of Offshore units;
Recent exposure to ISM/SMS management and practices;
Knowledge of OVIDand PSC inspection;
Experience in Dynamic Positioning System / FMEA;
Experience with Office Microsoft tool / Plan Maintenance System (Maintenance / Inventory / Procurement)
Experience in vessel maintenance and repairs, offshore operations, and budget management
Strong knowledge of international maritime regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies

High tolerance to stress and ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines;
Flexible and willing to work from time to time outside of normal office hours, as required in the shipping industry, available for regular business trips for vessels/clients' visits;
Fluent English ismandatory, while proficiency in French is highly desirable;
