Senior Project Manager – AI & Data Transformation (Freelance, Remote – EMEA)
Contract: 3 or 6 months (freelance only)
Location: 100% Remote within EMEA

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and coordinate high‑visibility AI and Data Transformation initiatives. This role requires a professional who can move seamlessly between executive‑level governance, technical delivery oversight, and organization‑wide change management.
The ideal candidate combines strong project management expertise with the ability to simplify complex AI concepts for senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment between technical teams and business leadership.
Key Responsibilities
1. Governance & Executive Support
Act as the bridge between technical delivery teams and executive stakeholders.
* Prepare and manage monthly Steering Committee materials, including briefing packs, decision logs, and agendas.
* Support internal governance processes, including the AI Inventory, Risk Registry, and related change initiatives.
* Develop high‑impact presentations for industry conferences, board meetings, and client‑facing transformation sessions.
* Provide coordination support for internal regional leadership meetings and executive forums.
2. Target Operating Model (TOM) Project Management
Drive the implementation of the organization’s new Data & AI operating model.
* Lead day‑to‑day project management of the Data & AI product platform TOM.
* Coordinate cross‑functional teams to ensure delivery milestones, risk management, and stakeholder alignment.
* Track progress, report status, and resolve delivery bottlenecks to ensure smooth execution.
3. Change Management & AI Literacy
Lead the human‑centric side of AI transformation.
* Coordinate the AI Training Academy, collaborating with HR and department heads.
* Track employee engagement and measure AI Fluency improvements across the organization.
* Develop internal communication campaigns, such as newsletters, awareness sessions, or AI Office Hours.
* Promote adoption and demystify generative AI for non‑technical audiences.
Required Qualifications
Professional Experience
* Proven experience in Project Management, ideally within AI, Data, or Digital Transformation programs.
* Experience supporting Target Operating Model (TOM) design and implementation.
* Background working with senior leadership teams and managing governance cycles.
Technical Familiarity
Not hands‑on engineering, but strong conceptual understanding.
* LLM lifecycles and use cases
* Data tokenization concepts
* API integration fundamentals
Certifications
* PMP or equivalent project management certification is preferred.
Soft Skills
* Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, executive‑ready messages.
* Strong analytical mindset and structured problem‑solving abilities.
* Ability to operate independently in a fast‑moving environment.
