As an Area Manager, you will lead and develop a team of Amazon Associates in a distribution warehouse environment. Your primary focus will be motivating, mentoring, and coaching your team, ensuring they have the necessary tools to succeed during each shift. Engaging with your team to uphold safety, quality, attendance, performance, and engagement standards is central to this role. Key job responsibilities
1. Lead, manage, and develop a team of 20 to 50 Amazon Associates
2. Communicate policies effectively and act as the primary information source, maintaining compliance and consistency, and taking corrective action when needed
3. Create, support, and manage recognition and communication programs
4. Support safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe work environment
5. Ensure procedures for building security and product loss prevention are followed
6. Partner with management to establish and maintain quality control standards
7. Develop performance goals to meet customer demand, ensuring accuracy and quality
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience
* 2+ years of employee and performance management experience
* Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, nights, and holidays
* 4+ years of operations and direct management experience
* Experience with performance metrics and process improvement
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* 1+ years of experience with performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques
