We are seeking a Corporate Controller to lead our accounting and financial reporting functions. The ideal candidate will thrive in a relationship-driven, family-business culture and will embrace our field-based operations—spending time in the field, understanding our skilled workforce, and helping keep them safe.
What You’ll Do:
* Lead corporate accounting operations, including AP/AR, payroll, general ledger, and treasury
* Oversee the month-end close process in collaboration with a team of Divisional Controllers
* Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and other regulations
* Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
* Provide financial insights and recommendations to support senior leadership decisions
* Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
* Coordinate audits and tax filings with external partners
* Optimize accounting systems, processes, and reporting capabilities
What We’re Looking For:
* Strong technical accounting expertise, including GAAP and IFRS compliance
* Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
* Background in internal controls, risk management, and audit oversight
* Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills
* Strong leadership abilities with experience managing and developing teams
* Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
* High ethical standards and meticulous attention to detail
Leadership Scope:
This role oversees an Accounting Manager and an AP Supervisor, leading a team of approximately 10 individuals, and works closely with Divisional Controllers across the organization.
Education and/or Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field CPA or MBA Preferred)
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in a Corporate Accounting or Finance leadership role
* Proven experience managing teams, including direct reports and cross-functional teams
* Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting and internal controls
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills; initiative and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
* Effective verbal and written communication skills
* Solid grasp of mathematics, financial principles and complex spreadsheets

Salary Range
* $175,000 - $225,000
