As a Production Controller at Disney Entertainment Television, you will play a pivotal role in supervising project budgets, cost reports, and cash flow throughout development, production, and postproduction…
Responsibilities
* Analyzing and reviewing 3rd‑party budgets, cash flow, cost reports, and forecasts
* Collaborating with the Disney Finance Department and sourcing specialized expertise as needed
* Monitoring and recommending best practices for production accounting
* Ensuring compliance with tax incentives and providing regular reports
* Managing project documentation, including invoices, taxes, audits, and licenses
* Creating and controlling purchase orders and overseeing due‑diligence processes for hires
* Ensuring compliance with Disney Business Standards & Practices and the Live Action Producer’s Handbook
* Anticipating and resolving production, budgetary, and legal issues
* Liaising with Legal and Business Affairs to craft and influence deal terms
* Working closely with the OPD Finance team to forecast and monitor production costs
* Serving as the main point of contact for cost controllers on day‑to‑day production matters
* Providing local market insights to regional teams
Required Qualifications
* Minimum 7 years of proven experience as a Cost Controller
* Strong technical understanding of production department needs
* Experience with industry reporting requirements (financial, TV tax rebates, taxes)
* Solid knowledge of administration, labor, finance, and accounting in Spain
* Proven ability to create cost reports, forecasts, and financial planning models
* Strong critical thinking, multitasking, and prioritization skills under pressure
* Strong network and awareness of industry trends and workflows
* Proficiency with production accounting software (such as Global Vista, PSL3, Sage, Contaplus)
* Bachelor’s degree
