Confidential is building its AI Data Center (AIDC) business globally and is seeking a senior leader to support the development, execution, and growth of AI data center projects across Europe.
This role focuses on the full lifecycle of AI data center development, from early‑stage project origination and site development through design, construction, commissioning, and operations. The successful candidate will bring deep experience in the European data center ecosystem and a strong understanding of how hyperscalers, colocation providers, utilities, governments, and infrastructure partners interact to deliver large‑scale data center projects.
The role requires a commercially minded and technically credible leader capable of engaging with customers, utilities, government stakeholders, consultants, EPC contractors, and internal teams to support the successful development of AI data center opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Support the development and execution of Envision's AI Data Center strategy across Europe
Identify and evaluate data center development opportunities, including site selection, utility access, and infrastructure readiness
Lead engagement with utilities, grid operators, government agencies, regulators, and local stakeholders
Assess power availability, grid connection requirements, permitting constraints, and development risks
Support commercial discussions with hyperscalers, cloud providers, colocation operators, investors, and strategic partners
Coordinate development activities across design consultants, engineering firms, EPC contractors, and technology providers
Oversee project progression from concept through development, design, construction, commissioning, and operation
Support business case development, investment evaluation, and project governance processes
Act as a key representative of Envision within the European data center ecosystem
Build strategic relationships across the AI infrastructure, power, and data center industries
Candidate Profile
10+ years of experience in data center development, infrastructure development, hyperscale infrastructure, colocation development, or related sectors
Demonstrated experience delivering data center projects through the full lifecycle:
site identification
permitting
utility and grid engagement
design development
construction delivery
commissioning
operations
Strong understanding of hyperscaler and colocation business models
Experience engaging with utilities, TSOs, DSOs, regulators, and government authorities
Familiarity with power infrastructure, grid connection processes, substations, and energy supply strategies
Experience managing multiple stakeholders across technical, commercial, and regulatory environments
Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to operate independently xpzdshu in a fast‑growing and entrepreneurial environment
