Chief Editor
to join a leading global company in clinical healthcare education, based in Barcelona.
Role Mission
We are seeking a Chief Editor to lead and develop a high-quality clinical content program across both sponsored and non-sponsored formats. This role will be responsible for defining what content to cover and how to approach it, co-create content with senior clinicians and key opinion leaders, and lead a production team to ensure a consistent and engaging publishing cadence.
The role involves moderating and hosting interviews, panels, and podcasts, as well as collaborating with sponsors and internal commercial teams to develop content concepts while maintaining the trust of the audience.
Key Responsibilities
Define and manage the editorial roadmap and content calendar across priority clinical areas (including surgery, oncology, cardiology, and neurology).
Turn clinical and sponsor inputs into compelling formats: strong angles, structures, briefs, scripts, and episode planning.
Co-create content with physicians: facilitate topic selection, guide focus, and align key messages for the audience.
Lead content moderation and hosting (interviews, roundtables, and podcasts), ensuring clarity, value, and engagement.
Lead the production team end-to-end (planning, workflows, quality control, delivery cadence, and continuous improvement).
Ensure content integrity.
Use performance feedback (engagement, satisfaction, repeat consumption) to iterate topics, formats, guests, and presentation.
Report directly to General Management.
Requirements
University degree in Journalism or a related field.
More than 5 years of experience in clinical/healthcare content, healthcare media, medical communications, scientific communications, or related areas.
Strong curiosity and interest in the healthcare sector.
Native or bilingual English.
Ability to thrive in dynamic and fast-paced environments. xqysrnh
