Hardware Design Leader – Martos
As a Hardware Design Leader in Valeo Martos, you will design cutting edge electronics for top car makers in a fast-paced, international and multicultural environment. Your mission is to design electronic circuits according to customer specifications for illumination systems in the automotive industry, following up-to-date techniques in a constantly evolving environment.
Responsibilities
- Compliance with engineering disciplines processes and design rules.
- Plan, monitor and control activities according to the Engineering discipline PD of the project/program following CPM (CLEAN Project Management).
- In charge of robust design and validation in line with economical targets.
- Review internal and customer requirements, and specifications.
- Detailed scheduling and budgeting: identify resource, equipment and investment needs; establish detailed breakdown of activities to meet milestones; monitor spending to stay within budget and timing.
- Perform or support design calculations, simulations, coding and associated acceptance tests.
- Apply standardization rules; request destandardizations with justification when needed.
- Prepare engineering discipline design reviews and interface with the customer for content.
- Report and escalate to the Product Technical Manager/Leader/Engineering and to the hierarchical as required.
Qualifications
- Electronics Engineering Degree/Master, Telecommunications or equivalent experience.
- 5–7 years of experience in hardware design in automotive engineering or related industries.
- Knowledge of simulation and CAD tools (Simetrix, Pspice, Cadence).
- EMC good practices; passion for hardware design and for the automotive industry.
- English negotiation level is mandatory.
