Role Overview: HR Manager
The HR Manager will play a critical role in shaping our workplace culture, driving employee engagement, and ensuring compliance with employment laws.
Key Accountabilities:
* Lead recruitment, selection, and retention strategies.
* Communicate local Total Rewards programs, including Pay for Skills, health, dental, life, and vision insurance.
* Assess staff and management training needs and develop programs for career development.
* Implement HR policies, programs, and procedures.
* Manage labor budget, analyze results, and recommend improvements.
* Monitor workers' compensation claims and coordinate with insurance carriers and HSE professionals.
* Facilitate communication across all organizational levels.
* Ensure compliance with federal and state employment legislation.
* Review and benchmark job descriptions and pay classifications.
* Manage conflict resolution, team building, and employee evaluations.
* Lead Diversity & Inclusion initiatives in collaboration with Plant Director.
* Address employee relations issues such as complaints and harassment allegations.
* Oversee performance management and training plans.
* Provide security oversight for the plant.
* Act as local crisis coordinator as per the crisis manual.
* Ensure OSHA documentation and training compliance.
* Oversee Facilities Management and support environmental policies and sustainable processes.
* Maintain knowledge of relevant certifications like FSSC22000, GMP, etc., to protect brand and consumer safety.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Industrial Relations, Human Resources, or related field.
* At least 5 years of management experience in HR, preferably in a production facility.
* Experience in a multinational environment is advantageous.
* HR certification is a plus.
* Knowledge of employment laws at federal and state levels.
* 7+ years in online talent attraction and employer branding.
* 5-7 years managing vendors.
* Ability to handle confidential information judiciously.
Skills and Capabilities:
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong planning, prioritization, and multitasking abilities.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing changing priorities.
* Proficiency in MS Office, SAP preferred.
